Kateřina Nakládalová came from the Czech Republic where she graduated from ČVUT in Prague in the field of Geodesy and Cartography. Her field of study is currently also her profession. The last 30 years she has been living in Slovakia with her husband and two sons. The younger son of age 25 has been diagnosed with childhood autism. Immediate experience with this neurodevelopmental disorder drove Kateřina to extensive social involvement in campaigns for people with this disability. From 2006 she serves as the director of the non-profit organization Autistic Center Andreas in Bratislava.
